Nigeria, July 24 -- President Bola Tinubu has appealed to Nigerian medical professionals practising abroad to return home and play a greater role in the country's development, assuring them that his administration is working to create an environment where they can thrive.

The President made the appeal on Friday at the State House while receiving members of the Nigerian Diaspora Medical Associations, led by the Director-General of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa.

Drawing from his own experience, Tinubu urged the doctors to take inspiration from his decision to return to Nigeria after studying and working in the United States, insisting that no place compares to home.
