Nigeria, March 28 -- Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have launched an attack on Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State.



Details of the incident remain sketchy at the time of filing this report, but residents say gunshots and explosions were heard in parts of the area.



Security forces are yet to issue an official statement, while more information is expected as the situation develops.
