Nigeria, May 8 -- The News Chronicle gathered that the attackers reportedly stormed the community in the early hours of Friday, moving from house to house and attacking residents in a coordinated assault that left several others injured and forced many families to flee into nearby bushes for safety.

Confirming the incident, the community leader Lawrence Zongo described the killings as tragic and heartbreaking, revealing that three of the victims were pregnant women.

He lamented that the same community had suffered similar violence in the past, including an earlier attack that claimed the life of a pastor and several residents.
