Nigeria, March 31 -- El-Rufai, who is being prosecuted by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), faces a 10-count charge bordering on alleged conversion and possession of public property, as well as money laundering. The case is presided over by Justice Rilwan M. Aikawa.

The hearing resumes after the former governor was temporarily released on compassionate grounds following the death of his mother in Cairo. Proceedings are expected to focus on his pending bail application.
