Nigeria, March 23 -- Sources said a vehicle allegedly drove over an improvised explosive device (IED), which locals suspect was planted by Boko Haram insurgents. The exact number of casualties remained unconfirmed as of the time of reporting.
The incident comes amid ongoing insecurity in the area, following an earlier attack where dozens were killed and at least 176 residents abducted. Families of the victims say they are living in fear, with no breakthrough in rescue efforts.
The latest blast has heightened concerns that armed groups may be escalating attacks in communities across Kwara North.
