Boko Haram Ambush Kills Four Soldiers, Destroys Military Vehicles in Borno
Nigeria, Aug. 14 -- Suspected fighters of the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have ambushed a Nigerian military convoy along the Yamtake-Bitta axis of Borno State, killing at least four soldiers and injuring several others.
The attack, which occurred last week, reportedly involved small arms and an improvised explosive device (IED). At least three military vehicles were destroyed during the assault, while the terrorists allegedly captured another vehicle containing weapons and ammunition.
