Nigeria, Feb. 25 -- When many churches, Christians, and even some Christian men and women hear the word "feminism," it often triggers irritation and anger.

To them, it sounds anti-men, anti-Bible, anti-structure, anti-marriage, and even hateful.

But that is not what true feminism represents.

I always tell people: before you condemn any ideology, take time to understand it.

Before you judge those who promote it or dismiss it entirely, examine it carefully and weigh it fairly.

There are people who believe in feminism in its true sense, fairness, dignity, and equal opportunities for both sexes.

There are others who misuse it based on their personal pain, trauma, or negative experiences. These are two very different things.
