Bangladesh, Sept. 12 -- Bangladesh's sustainable finance market showed a losing momentum in recent times, raising questions about whether banks and finance companies are sufficiently expanding financing for projects that can deliver lasting environmental, social and economic benefits.

Advertisement According to Bangladesh Bank (BB) data, sustainable finance disbursement fell to Tk 960.04 billion in the April-June quarter of 2026, Tk 40 billion down from Tk 1.0 trillion in the previous quarter, according to the latest Bangladesh Bank (BB) data.
