Nigeria, Oct. 3 -- The Anambra State Government has declared Saturday, October 3, 2026, as a statewide sanitation and clean-up exercise to commemorate the World and National Clean-Up Day.

The state Ministry of Environment, in a public notice signed by the Commissioner, Dr Clem Aguiyi, said the exercise is aimed at promoting a clean, healthy and sustainable environment across the state.

According to the notice, residents are expected to take responsibility for the cleanliness of their homes and surroundings, while businesses, markets, institutions, community leaders and other stakeholders are encouraged to participate actively in the exercise.
