Nigeria, April 21 -- In a statement issued Tuesday in Abuja, the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said the operation was based on credible intelligence supported by surveillance, confirming the presence of active terrorist elements in the area.

According to him, NAF air assets deployed precision-guided munitions, successfully destroying terrorist bunkers and logistics facilities, while neutralising multiple fighters. A follow-up battle damage assessment confirmed the impact of the strikes.

Ejodame noted that sustained air operations in the North-East continue to weaken terrorist networks, forcing them into disarray and reactive movements under mounting pressure.
