Nigeria, July 31 -- Access Bank Plc has dismissed as false a purported shutdown notice circulating on social media and WhatsApp, assuring customers and stakeholders that the bank remains financially sound and fully operational.

In a statement, the bank said all its branches, banking operations and subsidiaries across its markets are functioning normally and continue to provide uninterrupted services.

Access Bank described the viral notice as fake and said it was collaborating with relevant regulatory authorities and law enforcement agencies to identify those behind the false publication.
