Nigeria, Sept. 29 -- Former Kogi State Senator Emmanuel Dangana Ocheja, 74, has married an 18-year-old woman identified as Winifred.

The couple reportedly exchanged vows in Abuja on September 19, following their traditional wedding held on September 13.

Businessman Isaac Fayose announced the marriage in a social media post congratulating the couple.

Peter Obi Fayose said Winifred is a close friend of Ocheja's granddaughter.

Ocheja, a lawyer-turned-politician, represented Kogi East Senatorial District in the 7th National Assembly between 2011 and 2015.

He is a member of the All Progressives Congress.
