Nigeria, Sept. 23 -- The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has again declared that Senator Ireti Kingibe, who represents the FCT, will not return to the Senate after the 2027 elections.

Wike and Kingibe have been at loggerheads, with the senator recently accusing the minister of obtaining loans without the approval of the National Assembly.

The minister, however, dismissed the allegation, insisting that no loan could be obtained by the government without the required legislative approval.

Speaking with journalists after inspecting projects in the FCT on Tuesday, September 22, Wike launched a fresh attack on Kingibe, questioning her capacity to represent the people of the territory.
