Nigeria, Aug. 19 -- Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said former Vice President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is too old to contest another presidential election.

Fayose stated this in an interview on TVC, monitored by The News Chronicle.

The former governor compared Atiku's potential 2027 presidential bid to former United States President Joe Biden seeking another term, arguing that age could work against the former vice president.

"Atiku is now really old. He's a good man, but time has caught up with him. Atiku contesting an election is like calling Biden to come and contest again," Fayose said.
