Nigeria, Sept. 9 -- An All Progressives Congress governorship aspirant in Ogun State, Abayomi Semako Hunye, has claimed that the party does not yet have a definite candidate for the 2027 governorship election in the state.

In an Interview with ARISE NEWS monitored by The News Chronicle, Hunye said this while reacting to the emergence of a candidate he described as having been imposed on the party, arguing that the APC must follow the procedures stipulated by law in selecting its governorship candidate.

According to him, the law provides for either a consensus arrangement or an open ballot to determine the party's candidate.
