Nigeria, July 2 -- The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that DR Congo stunned England with an early opener in the seventh minute when Brian Cipenga finished off a pass from Chancel Mbemba to give the African side a deserved lead.

The Three Lions dominated possession but struggled to penetrate a disciplined Congolese defence, which remained organised and threatened on the counter-attack.

England's persistence finally paid off in the 75th minute when Anthony Gordon set up Kane, who calmly slotted home the equaliser to spark the comeback.

The turnaround was completed 11 minutes later as Gordon again provided the assist for Kane, whose composed finish sealed victory for England and his second goal of the match.
