Bangladesh, Sept. 9 -- Allegations have been raised against on-duty Ansar members of beating to death an unidentified youth, approximately 20 years of age, on suspicion of theft at the BTCL office in the capital's Tejgaon area.
The incident occurred around 7:30 AM on Tuesday. Later, he was rescued in an unconscious state and taken to Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead around 3:30 PM while he was undergoing treatment.
BTCL office assistant Md. Saiful Islam, who took the deceased to the hospital, said that when the youth climbed over the boundary wall and entered the premises in the morning, the on-duty Ansar members caught him.
