US supports measles-rubella vaccination of 3.4m Children
Bangladesh, Oct. 8 -- The United States is supporting Bangladesh's national measles-rubella catch-up vaccination campaign through UNICEF to protect 3.4 million children aged six to 59 months amid the ongoing outbreak.
US Charge d'Affaires Eric Geelan visited the vaccination campaign at T&T Field in Korail, Banani, on Wednesday.
The campaign, launched on September 26, is being supported under the United States' America First Global Health Strategy, according to a statement attributable to US Mission Spokesperson Poornima Rai.
The nationwide initiative aims to vaccinate vulnerable children against measles and rubella as Bangladesh continues to respond to the current outbreak.
