Bangladesh, Sept. 26 -- Trust Bank PLC has converted its Kafrul Branch into a full-fledged Islamic banking branch, renamed Kafrul Islamic Banking Branch, as part of its efforts to expand access to Shariah-compliant banking services.

The branch was formally inaugurated recently at a ceremony in Kafrul by Trust Bank PLC Chairman and Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, psc, who attended as the chief guest, according to the press release.
