Train derails in Gafargaon, resumes after 8 hours
Bangladesh, Aug. 9 -- Four coaches of a Dhaka-bound Jamalpur commuter train derailed at Shibganj rail crossing while entering Gafargaon Railway Station on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route around 9am on Friday, disrupting train services for eight hours.
The train shook with a loud noise before entering Gafargaon station around 9am. At that time, the four coaches behind the engine derailed. The sudden incident caused panic among passengers, but no casualties were reported.
