Bangladesh, Sept. 14 -- A 9mm pistol, two magazines and 20 rounds of ammunition have been recovered from the second floor of a mosque at Araihazar Bazar in Narayanganj. Police said the pistol was among the weapons looted from Araihazar Police Station during the July-August 2024 student-led mass uprising.

The weapons and ammunition were found abandoned on a shelf used to keep copies of the Quran on the southern side of the second floor of Araihazar Bazar Mosque in Araihazar Municipality on Saturday .

Mosque muezzin Nasir Uddin spotted the items and later took them to Araihazar Police Station, where he handed them over to Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Sabzel Hossain.
