Bangladesh, July 15 -- Stocks yesterday extended winning streak for a fourth consecutive trading session today, with the benchmark DSEX index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) rising 44.7 points to close at 5,911, crossing the 5,900-point mark for the first time in nearly two years.

The rally was driven by strong investor optimism over the proposed revision of margin rules, as well as initiatives aimed at improving market liquidity through faster share settlement and scrip netting.

The market opened on a positive note and maintained its upward momentum throughout the session, supported by broad-based buying and robust investor participation. Strong late-session buying further boosted the benchmark index.
