Bangladesh, March 10 -- A tree plantation programme was launched at ShaheedHarun Park in GouripurUpazila of Mymensingh district on Sunday, marking International Women's Day.

The programme was jointly organised by ACECC NariKallyanSangstha, Creative NariKallyanSangstha and ACECC Youth Association with the theme, "Air of the country and soil of the country, let's make it pure by planting trees."

Engineer M Iqbal Hossain, State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief and Member of Parliament for Mymensingh-3 constituency, inaugurated the Tree Plantation Programme 2026 by planting a sapling at the park premises, located on the Bazar West Line side of GouripurPourashava, at around 2 pm.
