Bangladesh, Oct. 7 -- The government has adopted a master plan to drill and work over 300 gas wells across the country by 2035 to tackle the energy crisis.

As part of the first phase, 150 wells are scheduled for drilling and workover, with work on 15 wells currently progressing under Sylhet Gas Fields Limited (SGFL).

According to SGFL sources, initiatives have been taken to increase gas production by drilling new wells alongside reworking old ones. In line with this, drilling is underway at the Rashidpur-13 well, while work is also ongoing on new exploration wells including Dupitila-1, Sylhet-13 and Hararganj-1.
