Bangladesh, Aug. 15 -- Sammilito Islami Bank PLC, a state-owned shariah-based bank, held its 10th board meeting at Exim Bank Tower in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Quazi Shairul Hassan, chairman of the bank, presided over the meeting, according to a press release. The meeting reviewed the overall status and activities of the bank and discussed various measures to strengthen its operations and ensure sustainable growth.

The board also discussed a number of initiatives aimed at taking the bank forward.

Several investment proposals were also placed before the meeting for approval following detailed discussion and consideration.
