Bangladesh, Aug. 18 -- Rizia Parveen is a popular singer in Bangladesh. She is set to remain busy with a series of stage shows in the United States through October.

Rizia first travelled to the US to perform at a stage show in 1995. She received $500 as her first payment there.

Since then, the singer has travelled to the US for stage performances almost every year.

She recently returned to the country and performed at an event in Ozone Park, New York, on August 9.

The singer is scheduled to perform at another event at Queens Palace in New York on August 23, alongside singers Kamruzzaman Babul and Trinia.

The event will be hosted by New York-based presenter Sonia.
