Bangladesh, Sept. 21 -- Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Sa Ching Prue has called for a planned, sustainable, safe and environment-friendly tourism system to unlock Bangladesh's vast tourism potential.

He made the call while addressing the closing ceremony of the three-day 13th Asian Tourism Fair (ATF) 2026 at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital on Sunday.

Prue highlighted the tourism potential of the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) and said local communities should be directly involved in tourism development so that they could benefit from the sector.
