Bangladesh, Aug. 26 -- Muslims across Bangladesh will observe Eid-e-Miladunnabi today (Wednesday) with religious solemnity, commemorating the birth and death of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and reflecting on his enduring teachings on peace, justice, compassion and human dignity.

The occasion is being marked through a range of religious, cultural and state programmes, with the government and various organisations making elaborate arrangements.

The national flag will be hoisted at government, semi-government and autonomous offices, as well as private buildings, to mark the day.
