Bangladesh, Sept. 22 -- The district police are planning to install around 250 CCTV cameras across Kishoreganj the town to strengthen surveillance, curb crime and enforce traffic rules.

The initiative aims to prevent crimes such as juvenile gang activities, mugging, terrorism, extortion and drug trafficking while improving overall law and order in the town.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Mizanur Rahman Shelly told The New Nation that at least 250 CCTV cameras are being installed in the town, which has recently witnessed an increase in criminal activities involving teenage gangs and drug trafficking.
