Bangladesh, July 14 -- Bangladesh Police arrested 32,908 people in an ongoing special operation conducted across the country between May 1 and July 12. Additionally, 83,817 people were arrested in other cases and operations during this period.
This information was released in a press statement from Police Headquarters on Monday.
During the special operations, police recovered 243 firearms, 2,313 rounds of bullets/cartridges, 88 magazines, 43 cocktails (crude bombs), 2 kg of gunpowder, 503 homemade weapons, 18 weapon parts, 17 sets of equipment for making weapons and bombs, and 10,300 chocolate bombs (firecrackers).
