Bangladesh, Oct. 12 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has invited Japanese business conglomerate Marubeni Corporation to explore investment opportunities in Bangladesh's information technology, fertiliser and energy sectors, including a possible second Karnaphuli Fertilizer Company Limited (KAFCO) plant.

The invitation came when a high-level delegation led by Marubeni Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer Masayuki Omoto paid a courtesy call on the prime minister at his office at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Sunday morning, Deputy Press Secretary Shahadat Shadhin said.
