Bangladesh, Aug. 16 -- A retired Sonali Bank principal officer was killed after a speeding motorcycle hit him in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj, on Saturday morning.

The deceased was Azizul Haque, 85, son of the late Hossain Ali Sheikh of the Jalkuri Taltala area. The accident occurred around 8:30am in the Jalkuri Taltala area under Siddhirganj Police Station.

According to police and local residents, Azizul was walking towards a roadside tea stall after having breakfast, as he did every morning, when the speeding motorcycle hit him. He fell onto the road and sustained serious injuries.

Local residents rescued him and took him to Khanpur Hospital in Narayanganj. As his condition deteriorated, doctors advised that he be shifted to Dhaka Medic...
