Bangladesh, Oct. 8 -- Narayanganj Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) Executive Engineer Mohammad Arifur Rahman said mosquito breeding grounds must be eliminated by maintaining regular cleanliness.

"Preventing mosquito-borne diseases requires more than relying solely on insecticide spraying.

Everyone must come forward to keep their institutions and workplaces clean to help prevent dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases," he said.

Under the slogan "Keep Our Surroundings Clean, Stay Healthy Together," the LGED in Narayanganj organised a special clean-up drive as part of the government's nationwide cleanliness and awareness campaign to prevent dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases.
