Bangladesh, Nov. 5 -- The meeting took place at 11:00am on Thursday, November 5, at the Bandar Upazila auditorium.

Presided over by S.M. Samin Ishraq, upazila engineer of LGED in Bandar, the meeting was attended by Mohammad Arifur Rahman, executive engineer of LGED in Narayanganj, as the chief guest. Shibani Sarkar, upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) of Bandar, attended as the special guest.

Addressing the meeting, Arifur Rahman said Narayanganj was one of the country's prominent districts in terms of administrative, social, political and geographical significance.

"Development cannot be attributed to any one individual. It requires proper planning and initiative. The government has development proposals worth Tk 150,000 crore," he said. ...
