Bangladesh, July 8 -- Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC) has announced a budget of Tk 8.223 billion (Tk 822.30 crore) for the 2026-2027 fiscal year, with no new taxes imposed on city residents.
Despite limited local revenue and increasing demand for urban services, the city authorities have decided not to introduce any additional tax burden, making it one of the key features of the new budget.
The budget was announced on Monday by City Administrator Roknuzzaman Rokon at a special budget session held at the Shaheed Shahabuddin Auditorium in Mymensingh.
According to the proposed budget, Tk 1.4627 billion (Tk 146.27 crore) has been projected as revenue income, while Tk 6.7603 billion (Tk 676.03 crore) has been allocated for development expen...
