Bangladesh, Sept. 1 -- After a day of developments surrounding the incident, police arrested Naimuzzaman Nayan, president of the Microbus Owners Association and former Sadar Thana Chhatra Dal president, for allegedly slapping a policeman in Magura on Saturday.

A video of the incident went viral on social media and was published by several media outlets.Magura Police Superintendent Molla Azad Hossain said a case had been filed with Sadar Police Station against three people, including police officer Md Imran Hossain, who was allegedly slapped by Naimuzzaman Nayan, president of the Bhayna Microbus Owners Association, during an altercation over a trivial matter on Friday afternoon. Nayan has been arrested in connection with the case.
