Bangladesh, March 4 -- Rab has arrested a life sentence accused in a drug case named Aslam Mia (50) in Chauddagram, Cumilla. Aslam Mia is the son of the late Nuru Mia of Satgharia village in Jagannathdighi union of the upazila. Major Sadman Ibne Alam, commander of RAB-11 CPC-2 Cumilla, confirmed the information on Tuesday afternoon.
According to local sources, Aslam Mia had been smuggling drugs from his home area of Satgharia, bordering India, to nearby Feni, Noakhali and Chittagong for many years. In the meantime, the court had sentenced him to life in a drug case.
