Bangladesh, Sept. 8 -- The Khulna City Corporation (KCC) has proposed a budget of Tk 601 crore 79 lakh 7 thousand for the 2026-27 fiscal year, with a focus on improving drainage, waste management, public health and urban infrastructure.

KCC Administrator Nazrul Islam Manju announced the proposed budget at a press conference at the Shaheed Altaf Auditorium of Nagar Bhaban on Monday.

At the same event, he presented the revised budget of Tk 338 crore 97 lakh 21 thousand for the 2025-26 fiscal year.

Under the new budget, KCC expects to earn Tk 211 crore 90 lakh 5 thousand in revenue against projected expenditure of Tk 241 crore 44 lakh 17 thousand. Government allocations have been estimated at Tk 197 crore 62 lakh.
