Bangladesh, Sept. 23 -- Female Wushu athlete Jinnat Akter has put Bangladesh on the medal tally at the ongoing Asian Games in Aichi and Nagoya, Japan on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Jinnat's Indonesian opponent in the women's 52kg quarter-final was disqualified for failing to make weight; as a result, the Bangladeshi Wushu athlete advanced to the semi-finals and secured a Bronze medal.

The Bangladesh Army's Wushu athlete Jinnat will face a Chinese opponent in the Semi-finals today. According to the Games' rules, reaching the semi-finals in Wushu guarantees a Bronze medal.
