Bangladesh, Sept. 9 -- A discussion meeting was held in Sherpur, Bogura, on the occasion of International Literacy Day 2026, with the theme "Literacy for People, Planet and Prosperity."

The meeting was held at upazila parishad hallroom on Tuesday. The event was jointly organised by the Sherpur Upazila Administration and the Upazila Bureau of Non-Formal Education.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Sherpur Upazila Abdullah Al Mamun attended the meeting as the chief guest. Upazila Primary Education Officer (in-charge) Md. Abdullah Al Mahmud was present as a special guest.
