Bangladesh, March 13 -- The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining full cooperation with Bangladesh.

The assurance came on Thursday when Maxym Kryshko, resident representative of the IMF in Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Bank Governor Md Mostaqur Rahman at the central bank headquarters.

Deputy Governor Md Habibur Rahman was also present during the meeting.

During the discussion, Kryshko congratulated the governor and expressed the IMF's interest in working closely with the newly elected political government formed after the recent national election.
