Bangladesh, June 23 -- Based on information from the National Security Agency (NSI), the upazila administration conducted an operation in Singra upazila of Natore district and seized and destroyed illegal Chinese fishing nets worth Tk 20 lakh.
Abdullah Al Rifat, a mobile court judge and Singra Upazila Nirbahi Officer, conducted an operation on Monday in the Sarkarpara neighborhood of Singra Municipality.
During this, illegal Chinese fishing nets and current nets worth Tk 20 lakh were seized. 3 people were punished by a mobile court for using and selling the nets. Later, the seized nets were burned and destroyed.
