Bangladesh, May 13 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md. Ali Hossain Fakir has reiterated that any police officer found guilty of involvement in drug use or trafficking will face strict action, with no leniency.

"Drugs are a major threat to our youth and the nation's future," he said, adding that the Bangladesh Police are working with utmost dedication and efficiency to address this challenge.

The IGP made the remarks while serving as the chief guest at the IG's Badge, Shield Parade, Arms and Narcotics Recovery Award Ceremony at Rajarbagh Police Lines on Tuesday.
