Bangladesh, Aug. 3 -- A LIE never comes alone, another lie is born with it, followed by many more. Eventually, these lies link arms and construct a reality where the truth itself seems unnatural.
We have long regarded the world of research as a realm of integrity.
However, a recent investigative report published in a national newspaper revealed that at least 325 research papers associated with various universities and research institutions in Bangladesh were retracted from international journals between 2019 and June 2026.
The allegations include fake expert evaluations, data inconsistencies, plagiarism, reuse of the same data, artificial inflation of citation counts, and the trading of authorship for money.
