Bangladesh, April 10 -- Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has invited Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to visit Malaysia at a mutually convenient time.
The invitation was extended on Thursday during a meeting with Bangladesh's Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury at the prime minister's office in Putrajaya.
During the meeting, Anwar Ibrahim congratulated Tarique Rahman on his election as prime minister, praising his long struggle to restore democracy and commending Bangladesh's ongoing progress.
Prime Minister's Adviser Mahdi Amin conveyed greetings from Tarique Rahman and handed over a special letter to the Malaysian premier.
