Govt vows to clear all hurdles to good governance: Law Minister
Bangladesh, Sept. 15 -- Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman has said the government will remove any obstacles standing in the way of good governance.
He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at an exchange of views with local stakeholders at the Khulna Deputy Commissioner's conference room on Monday.
The minister said the government had taken a number of welfare-oriented initiatives after assuming office, including introducing farmer cards and family cards and waiving agricultural loans.
It has also introduced allowances for imams, muezzins and Hindu priests, he said, adding that the government believes in serving the people.
