Bangladesh, Sept. 28 -- State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam has urged relevant government departments and agencies to accelerate efforts to introduce solar power at government offices and institutions.

"The relevant departments and agencies should advance their work according to their respective action plans and regularly review the progress of implementation," he said, stressing that activities to introduce solar power must be implemented quickly.

He made the call at a meeting at the conference room of the Rural Development and Cooperatives Division at the Secretariat, according to a PID release.
