Bangladesh, Sept. 8 -- Service Day was observed at Advocate Hemayet Uddin Ahmed Diabetic and General Hospital in Barishal on Sunday, marking the 37th death anniversary of National Professor Mohammad Ibrahim, founder of the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh.

The hospital organised free diabetes testing and diagnosis, a discussion meeting and a prayer session to marking the day.

Barishal-5 lawmaker Advocate Mojibur Rahman Sarwar inaugurated the programme by cutting a ribbon on Sunday.

From 9am to 11am, several hundred patients received free diabetes tests and diagnostic services at the hospital.

Sarwar later attended the discussion meeting as the chief guest.
