Bangladesh, Oct. 15 -- Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inspected a mobile laboratory van at the Secretariat as authorities intensified food safety monitoring and anti-adulteration efforts, with plans to expand mobile laboratory operations gradually to all 64 districts.

The government is strengthening food safety surveillance through mobile laboratories and intensified food adulteration checks, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman was informed during an inspection at the Secretariat on Wednesday.

The prime minister inspected the mobile laboratory van in the morning before entering his office. The vehicle was stationed beneath the Prime Minister's Office at the Cabinet Division.
