Bangladesh, May 19 -- Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of Muslims, will be observed in Bangladesh on May 28 as moon of the holy month of Zil Hajj of Hijri year 1447.
The counting of the holy month of Zil Hajj will begin today (May 19) as Eid-ul Azha is celebrated on the 10th day of Zil Hajj, said a press release.
This decision was taken on May 18, during a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee at the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram with Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain (Kaikobad) in the chair. Officials concerned were present in the meeting.
